Dear Paula

Thank you for taking a group of Hornby High School students on a tour around Orana Wildlife Park.
I really enjoyed seeing the Rhinos, a bit of the Porcupine, the Cheetahs and many more. I mainly liked seeing the Kiwis, the Keas and the Meerkats. The disappointing thing was we didn’t get to see the Tasmanian devils and they are my most favorite animal, However I would like to tell you what I learnt and enjoyed about going to Orana Wildlife Park.

Let me tell you about what I learnt at the Park, that Keas have to be very strong and tough because they live in the mountains and it's very cold up there. What I already knew is that Tasmanian Devils are the same species as the Kangaroo, the Koala and Bandicoot, the species that they are called Marsupials and the Marsupial species all have pouches, I really like how the Cheetahs just walk in a line waiting for there food and they didn’t care that we were there.

My favorite thing of all was coming to Orana Wildlife Park and learning more about endangered birds and  endangered animals and many other animals like the Lions and how they don’t have their manes. The Giraffes and how they have 2 eyelids and a big and long tongues. The 2 eyelids are to help the sun stay out of their eyes and the big long tongue is to help them get leafs off the top of tall trees, the Giraffe's long tongue has the same purpose as the Giraffe’s body.

But the best thing of all was seeing the whole park and all the animals we could see, I loved them all that I can’t just name one of them, I hope we can come back again soon and thank you again for taking your time to show us around the Park.

Yours Sincerely Isabella from Hornby High School.
